Toolbars

The application contains two main toolbars.
One is a set of tools used to create positions and to manage objects and sites inside the library.
The other is a set of tools used to modify the preferences inside the whole application.

The first main toolbar contains the these tools:

Generic Tools

• Mouse Pointer
  This tool is used to cancel the current operation made by another tool.
• Selection
  This tool is used to select positions on the screen.
• Sort Ascending
  This tool is used to sort positions alphabetically.
• Sort Descending
  This tool is used to sort positions alphabetically.

The following tools are used to get or set information about measurements inside the 3-D background of a site.

• Get Measure
  This tool is used to get a measure on the background. Selecting two vertices of a segment gives its measure.
• Set Stage Size
  This tool is used to specify the stage size of the background. Select two vertices for a segment. and assign a length, in meters, to that segment. The program will scale the stage size according to the length of that segment.

The following tools are used to create Positions.

• Make Position Single
  this is used to set a single position.
• Make Position Array
  This tool is used to define a rectangular region where some positions will be arranged in a grid.
• Make Position Line
  This tool is used to set more positions along a single line.
• Make Position Circle
  This tool is used to set positions around a circle or an ellipse.

The following tools are used to modify Positions.

• Rotate Position
  This tool is used to rotate positions around themselves or around a designated pivot.
• Move Position
  his tool is used to move positions around in the 3-D space.
• Resize Position
  This tool is used to resize an array of positions.
• Lock / Unlock Positions
  This tool is used to lock / unlock a set of positions. Locked positions cannot be edited

The following tools are used to modify the Background position and size.

• Move Background
  This tool is used to move the whole background around in the 3-D space.
• Resize Background
  This tool is used to resize the whole background.
• Adapt Background to grid
  This tool is used to automatically scale and position the background to fit the grid
• Stick to Ground
  This tool is used to attach the background to the ground

The following tools are used to manage camera for a viewport.

• Rotate Camera
  This tool is used to change the camera orientation for the viewports relative to a site.
• Move Camera
  This tool is used to change the camera position for the viewports relative to a site.
• Zoom Camera
  This tool is used to make the camera’s view zoom from near or far from the background.

The following tools are used to manage objects inside a 3-D background of a site.

• Object Selection
  This tool is used to select individual objects that are associated with the whole background. The background can contain more than one object, and you can select any one of them with this tool.
• rotate Object
  This tool is used to rotate a selected object around its axis.
• Move Object
  This tool is used to move an object.
• Resize Object
  This tool is used to change the size of an object.
• Stick to Ground
  This tool is used to attach an object to the ground
• Relink Positions
  This tool is used to relink the positions to objects that are near them. Normally, an object is attached to each position. If you change the location of a position, you can use this tool to re-attach the position to the object.

The following tools are used for keyframing, also known as real-time animation. The following tools are used for keyframing, also known as real-time animation.

• Modify Traslation Vector
  This tool is used to change the translation length and direction of movement relative to an object.
• Modify Internal rotation Angles
  This tool is used to change the rotation angles of an object. The angles are relative to the three axis of the object itself.
• Modify External Rotation Center Vector
  This tool is used to change the pivot of an external rotation for an object. An external rotation is a rotation of an object around an external pivot.
• Modify External Rotation Axis
  This tool is used to change the axis of an external rotation. An external rotation is the rotation of an object around an external pivot.
• Relink Positions
  This tool is used to change the rotation angle of an object that rotate around an external pivot (external to it).

The Second Toolbar is used to set Rendering and Operational Preferences Please refer to the relative chapter for more information.
