Rotate Object Tool

This tool is used to rotate an object.

Manually: Using the GUI, you can drag and drop the mouse on the X,Y or Z vector of the object. You can manually rotate the object this way.
For example, assume that the wheel is selected:s

*You can see the three white vectors of the object. If you left-click on the Z vector, and click and drag, the object will rotate around its Z axis:

*Note that automatically, every position attached to that object is rotated too

Numerically: This tool will display the following numeric options

Using numeric entries: you can set an angle for each vector, and this can be done by using the three options

  • X Vector degrees
  • Y vector degrees
  • Z vector degrees

After the user establishes a rotation angle around a vector, the user must click on “Apply” of that option to rotate the object around that vector.

To an existing position: with this option, you can rotate the object based on an existing position by entering this position in the popup field and clicking “apply”.

The base of the object will correspond to the 3-D coordinates of a position.
